A brilliant young wine, the 2020 Mâcon-Pierreclos Tris de Chavigne unwinds in the glass with aromas of crisp stone fruit, white flowers, orange zest, confit citrus, pear and wheat toast. Medium to full-bodied, ample and incisive, its satiny attack segues into a seamless, layered mid-palate, concluding with a long, vibrant finish. Pure and penetrating, it will richly reward patience. Drink 2027-2050.
The 2020 Mâcon-Pierreclos Tris de Chavigne is a step up still in intensity and energy, mingling aromas of crisp Anjou pear and green apple with hints of orange oil, iodine, white flowers and freshly baked bread. Medium to full-bodied, satiny and textural, it's layered and concentrated, with a tightly wound core, racy acids and a long, chalky finish.
