Surprisingly this is quite expressive with bright and elegant red berry fruit, earth and a hint of the sauvage that merges into sweet, rich and full-bodied flavors that also display an intense earthiness on the sweet, precise and driving finish supported by firm and dusty tannins that are chewy but not aggressive, all wrapped in plenty of sap and less youthful austerity than one would typically expect.
