There is very good balance in the 2016 El Cerro de Valdecañada, a wine that feels light but has lots of extraction; it had seven months of maceration with the skins and looks like a short maceration. It's a completely different profile of Bierzo—mineral and austere, with low alcohol and pungent aromas and flavors. Only 300 bottles produced.
