Chateau Canon's second label comes from vineyards that are regarded as not of a high enough quality to make the grand vin. The wine is produced by Canon's technical team led by NIcolas Audebert.
The 2022 is 59% Merlot, 41% Cabernet Franc
A terrific effort that will likely number among the values of the vintage, the 2022 Croix Canon offers up aromas of dark berries, petals and warm spices, followed by a medium to full-bodied, ample and fleshy palate framed by supple tannins and concluding with a saline finish. It will offer a broad drinking window.
Very fine and polished with sweet tobacco and chocolate with green olives. Currants. Medium-bodied with fine and polished tannins with a lovely length. Friendly nature to this. Turns slightly salty. 75% merlot and 25% cabernet franc.
