A wine that benefits from the uniform quality of the grapes in this vintage, the nose here is vibrant with red cherry, plum and a little fresh blackcurrant. The palate has powdery, soft tannins with a compact fruit core that has fragrant, airy red and black fruits. This is soft and ready to drink, but has the vintage's textbook brightness and energy. Good value for money, a wine to drink now for those looking for a Bordeaux with classic proportions but 2019's textbook sheen.
Wonderfully aromatic and expressive on the nose - the aromas really just jump out the glass. So inviting. Juicy, red fruits - strawberries, raspberries and red cherries - quite bright and a nice change from the dark fruits. This is lively and fun, light with hints of spice underneath the fruit giving some structure and backbone. Hard not to like for its fruit-forwardness and easy drinking style. Though does have a spicy undertone which comes through on the finish?! Wood/alc.
