An enticing pinot with rich, glossy raspberries, grapes, chalk, forest-floor berries, roses, white pepper and exotic spices. This is really tight and chalky on the palate, with super-fine, mealy tannins and an extremely long, linear finish. Very pretty, elegant and nuanced. Drinkable now, but best after 2024.
Francisco Baettig only uses the 777 clone to produce his top-ofthe-range Pinot Noir from Errázuriz’s Pacific Ocean-influencedsite on the Aconcagua Costa. Structured, stony and intense, with some extra backbone and perfume from 30% whole bunches, this is a grippy, deftly wooded Pinot with earthy ntensity and enough tannic backbone to age well in bottle.
