Here too there is ample petrol influence on the lightly wooded aromas of pear, apple, crushed anise and a whisper of resin character. There is fine volume, richness and power yet the mouthfeel of the medium weight plus flavors is at once powerful yet refined, all wrapped in a lightly stony, serious and youthfully austere finish. As is virtually always the case with this wine, it's presently quite tightly wound and while it could be approached after only 5-ish years, 10 would definitely be better.
Muscular and powerful, the 2019 Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Ruchottes wafts from the glass with notes of pear, orange oil, peach, nutmeg and spices. Medium to full-bodied, fleshy and concentrated, it's a rich, broad-shouldered Ruchottes that's quite demonstrative out of the gates.
