Pommard Rugiens, Domaine Bernard & Thierry Glantenay 2016

Tasting Notes

From 0.2 hectares of vines planted in 1935, Glantenay’s Rugiens opens in the glass with a brooding bouquet of red and black fruit, grilled meat, potpourri and spice. On the palate, the wine is intensely concentrated and multidimensional, its bottomless core of fruit cloaking a chassis of rich, fine tannins with an energy and precision to the flavours that makes this very compelling indeed.
