Bonnes Mares, Arlaud 2005

Tasting Notes

An interesting as well as potent nose features menthol and wood spice hints among the airy red and black pinot fruit aromas that introduce rich, full and sweet flavors that are not quite as ripe as those of the Clos St. Denis. As a consequence, this is even more reserved and while not taciturn, it's clear that this is going to require at least a decade in the cellar to really unleash the brooding power and depth the concentrated flavors possess. Stunning potential here.
