Intense yellow in color, the cloudy sample of the 2015 Ruppertsberger Reiterpfad In der Hohl Riesling Trocken GG offers a clear and smoky bouquet of crushed rocks, ripe pips, mocha beans, lemon oil, and the purity and freshness of a great wine. Full-bodied, rich and intense, with a piquant acidity and grip, this is a round and juicy Riesling. It is also well structured with power, finesse and vitality. This wine has an intense and persistent taste. Very intense and powerful, but all is kept in balance because of the firm mineral structure and raciness. This is one of the greatest Reiterpfad Rieslings I have had so far.
Bright lemon colour in the glass, this has great intensity on the nose with hints of pineapple, ripe lemon, peach and honeyed apple. The palate as a hint of creamy richness to bring out ripe citrus, smoky flint and floral peach notes that power through the mid palate and are lifted by high, zesty acidity. The finish is long and citrus driven, but with a ripeness and roundness that gives great balance. Very impressive with decades of ageing potential.
