**Note: from a small .08 ha parcel on the Chassagne side worked only by horse that will produce only about 140 bottles in 2012**
This is also markedly ripe and moderately exotic with its reserved nose of highly complex aromas of Asian style spices, dried peach, pineapple, lemon rind and wet stone that are set off by a deft application of soft wood. The rich, full-bodied, tight and wonderfully concentrated big-bodied flavors possess a silky and seductive texture as well as superb depth on the immensely long and intense finish. The Leflaive Montrachet is seemingly always a huge wine but the 2012 version is massive yet like the Chevalier it remains beautifully well-balanced. Note that this too will require at least a decade of cellar time should you be fortunate enough to acquire a bottle or two of the few that will be available.
