The 2012 Musigny Grand Cru is utterly beguiling on the nose: beautifully composed and refined with scents of blackberry and boysenberry fruit, forest floor and pressed flowers. The palate is supremely well balanced with perfect acidity slicing through the sophisticated dark berry fruit interlaced with spice and minerals. There is an effortless quality here that is totally captivating and it probably represents the apogee of Louis Jadot's mammoth portfolio this year.
