Terrasse is a well-judged blend of mostly Chenin Blanc, 13% Sauvignon Blanc, 12% Chardonnay, 7% Viognier and 6% each of Marsanne and Roussanne. Dense, stony and structured, with nicely understated oak, it combines honeysuckle and jasmine aromas with flavours of lemon, lime, pear and macadamia nut and some underlying tannic grip. 2026-30
46% Chenin, 15% Sauvignon Blanc, 15% Chardonnay, 12% Viognier, the rest a mix of Roussanne and Marsanne.
Really satisfying, ripe, honeyed nose transiting through green apples to an appetising dry, tangy finish. Great stuff! GV. Drink 2025-2029.
The blend for this classy Cape white changes each vintage; the 2023 is 46% Chenin Blanc, 15% Sauvignon Blanc, 15% Chardonnay, 12% Viognier, 10% Roussanne and 2% Marsanne – all from terraced mountainside vineyards and vinified separately. Notes of apple tart, quince, lemon and thyme cheesecake weave through the citrus mineral palate, with really vibrant acid. Lovely energy; definitely more than the sum of its parts. 2026 - 2032.
Always more than the sum of its parts, Terrasse is a seamless cuvée of Chenin Blanc, 15% Sauvignon Blanc, 15% Chardonnay, 12% Viognier, 10% Roussanne and 2% Marsanne. Fermented and aged in seasoned barrels, it has layers of peach, pear and citrus and a squeeze of orange zest. 2024-29.
