Meursault, Ballot-Millot 2021

Tasting Notes

A mild touch of reduction blurs the nuances of the very fresh white-fleshed orchard fruit, nut and floral scents. There is better size, weight and richness to the solidly density and powerful middleweight flavors that are shaped by citrus-tinged acidity on the delicious, complex and sneaky long finale. This is also very good for its level and unusually powerful for a Meursault villages. (Drink starting 2027)

From all the usual plots, with nothing sold to negociants this year. This is not quite clear after the racking with a slight leesy barrel toast. Good volume here with a texture that suggests a promising future. Ripe lemons behind, with adequate tension and length. Drink from 2025-2029.
