Cool hints of green tea are present on the beautifully pure, fresh and decidedly airy aromas of both red and dark currant, forest floor and a whiff of crushed fennel. The super-sleek, intense and beautifully textured medium-bodied flavors possess a bit more size and weight with a more evident bead of minerality while delivering excellent length and power on the slightly more austere finale. This beauty will need at least some patience to more completely unwind and add backend flesh.
Warmth reflects off the stone walls of the quarry. The vines were planted in 1928. Fine crimson purple, with a very clean fruit bouquet after a couple of reductive wines. This has some of the minerality of Cazetiers allied to the domaine’s supple fruit, with excellent length. Drink from 2026-2033.
