Note: 35+ year old vines planted in relatively deep soil interspersed with lots of gravel; aged in 33% new wood
Here too there is a vague whisper of the exotic on the aromas of white peach, passion fruit and floral whiffs. The refined, punchy and solidly concentrated medium weight flavors coat the palate with dry extract while displaying very fine persistence on the balanced and tightly wound finale. This stylish and generously proportioned effort has enough mid-palate fat to permit early accessibility, but the finish makes clear that it has the stuffing to age effortlessly.
