A brilliant ruby in the glass, this has a ripe, pure nose of black cherries and plums, laced with light notes of toast and nutmeg. There is a blend of succulence and earthy Pessac character. The palate is plump and round, with redolent red and black fruits at the core. The tannins are fine and ripe, a subtle structure that makes this perfect to drink now. The glossy fruit has no hard edges, and is accented by subtle spice. A touch of earthy smokiness lingers on the finish. This offers a great early chance to taste the high quality of both Domaine de Chevalier and the 2015 vintage. Superb.
