From the plot which started the Roty Marsannay experience, with ancient vines – perhaps 90 years old, planted in narrow rows. Rich dense purple, massive weight to the fruit here right from the start, but carrying on all the way through, fresh, but powerful raspberry, some violets, notes Pierre-Jean Roty, good acidity and notable persistence. When the structure dies down the fruit will bound forward.
