Moderate wood surrounds the spicy aromas of anise, underbrush, ripe and cool dark berry fruit scented nose. The silky-textured middle weight flavors brim with minerality that contrasts somewhat with the mildly warm but firm, serious and lengthy finish that is just a bit more structured. This youthfully austere effort will need at least a few years of aging to better harmonize and to develop more overall depth.
