The 2020 Chablis Les Clos Grand Cru has a tightly-wound bouquet that needs coaxing from the glass, eventually revealing wet pavement, fern, flint and light citrus scents. The palate is taut, fresh and well-balanced with a fine bead of acidity; the 2020 gains weight towards the finish with a long, lightly spiced aftertaste that urges you back for another sip. Great potential. (Drink between 2024-2050)
Pale colour with a fresh green tint. A fine reserved and classic nose, extremely promising. A little barrel toast but it hardly intrudes on the concentration of fruit. More saline than sometimes, and still awkwardly youthful, but all the necessary components are there. Drink from 2028-2036.
