Complex range of aromas, piercing citrus to smoky mineral, all suffused and fragrant but there's also a touch of umami/mushroom adding to the complexity. On the palate, deep and all citrus fruit. All that complexity waiting in the wings. Almost chewy in its depth of flavour. (JH)
A very precisely delineated riesling GG that has been uncompromisingly produced with character in mind rather than weight of volume. Only just beginning to reveal its aromatic treasures (for example, licorice and lemon balm), but on the palate the intense wet stone minerality already drives the wine over the palate with considerable power. Very long, graceful finish. Drink or hold.
