There is finesse in the 2019 La Breña; it has a subtle nose that reminds me of Umbrías. It was harvested late, the 2nd of October, and this year it matured exclusively in an oak vat (in previous years there was some concrete) and the wine had a longer élevage, which suits both the character of the place and the more tannic style of the vintage. It's ripe with 15% alcohol and has abundant grainy tannins reminiscent of the granite soils. 1,579 bottles and 96 magnums were filled in June 2021. Drink 2022 - 2028.
