Tasting Notes

Here the nose is restrained to the point of being all but mute and requires vigorous swirling to slowly reveal its elegant and pure array of blue and red pinot fruit, newly turned and quite pungent earth, nuances of the sauvage and exotic tea scents. There is the same terrific cuts-like-a-knife delineation and focused power to the overtly mineral-driven large scaled flavors that possess an interesting hint of yuzu sauce on the gorgeously persistent finish. This is also built to reward extended cellaring, yet it is so well-balanced that it could be reasonably approached after only 7 to 8 years of cellaring. If you can find it, check it out. Don't miss! Drink: 2036+ Note: from a .16 ha parcel
