Vosne Romanée Cros Parantoux, Domaine Emmanuel Rouget 1999

A still relatively bright, spicy and fresh red berry fruit nose that displays only a trace of secondary influence is trimmed in just enough wood to notice and introduces very ripe yet beautifully elegant and detailed middle weight flavors that culminate in a highly persistent and mouth coating finish. This mineral-inflected beauty is very much still on the way up and should reward another 5 to 7 years of cellar time and as such I would advise patience. Consistent notes.
