Chardonnay Banfield Vineyard, Arista Winery 2019

Tasting Notes

The 2019 Chardonnay Banfield Vineyard is pretty, with concentrated aromatics of lime, pear, and wet stone. The palate has more tension and fresh acidity, with a touch of astringency. There is more citrus toned on the palate, with lemon zest and saline minerality. Drink over the next 10-15 years. Drink between 2022-2037.

The 2019 Chardonnay Banfield Vineyard opens slowly on the nose to aromas of apricot, citrus blossom, meringue and cashews with touches of Meyer lemon. The light-bodied palate is seamless and flinty, with a tightly wound core of candied citrus and an appealing textural presence that anchors the latent finish. Offer it 2-3 years in bottle to unwind. 2024-2034.
