Interesting charred, bonfire notes that seem fruit- rather than oak-derived. Very sappy, not especially intense and rather Pomerol-like but a lovely drink already. Fine tannins underneath. Tastes Italian! Energetic.
This small property was purchased in 1994 by former professionnal footballer E. Prissette. Clearly the best wine made here so far thanks to the recent appointment of consultant winemaker S. Derenoncourt. Production is only 750 cs, made from 95% Merlot (average age 38 years) in 100% new oak. This has great concentration and fatness yet is not over-extracted. FV 18.
