This is also relatively perfumed with its notes of violet, red and dark berries if perhaps not quite as pretty and airy as the nose of the La Combe d'Orveau. There is fine mid-palate volume to the seductively textured, round and vibrant medium-bodied flavors that possess very good richness before culminating in a dusty, austere and sneaky long finish. This should benefit from a few years of keeping and then be approachable young if desired.
Mid purple. The nose is a little sterner and stricter than the Combe d’Orveau. A central core of firm red fruit, particularly spicy/peppery at the finish, a fresher red fruit, redcurrant and raspberry, yet with good length. Drink from 2027-2032.
