Once again the nose is reduced to the point that it dominates the fruit but there are subtle spice nuances that peek through the funk. Here too there is fine concentration to the sleekly muscular and powerful larger scaled flavors that possess a lovely texture while the robust and powerful finish is shaped by dense but relatively fine-grained tannins. This lovely effort is a wine of contrasts as the natural class of Gaudichots is married with the power and punch of Malconsorts.
