Vosne Romanée Cros Parantoux, Méo Camuzet 2009

A notably ripe yet elegant, cool, restrained and airy nose of rose petal, spice, hoisin, plum and mineral-laden aromas merges into medium weight flavors brimming with stone influences and an abundance of extract culminate in a relatively powerful finish underpinned by ripe tannins and superb length. This really stains the palate and I very much like the underlying sense of tension on the explosive and almost painfully intense finish. In short, this is a knock-out.
