A Bordeaux displaying intense aromas and flavors of red cherries, plums and dried flowers. Full body, refined yet firm tannins, lovely acidity and a long, spicy finish. Very cabernet. Drink in 2016.
One of the two second wines from Smith Haut Lafitte, this is distinguished by a majority of Cabernet Sauvignon. That gives the wine a great structure along with dark tannins and juicy black fruits. It comes from young vines on the estate, with a youthful exuberance that shows in the fruitiness of this wine. Drink from 2017.
