Youthfully primary aromas of blackberries and cassis introduce the 2025 Fonbel, a medium-bodied, bright and vibrant wine that belies the heat of the vintage.
A value pick, Fonbel is easy to like with its bright cherry fruit and lick of baking spices on the nose. The palate is juicy with red fruit, spicy with white peppery and crunchy with refreshing tannins. This is a compact, bright and delicious wine that is easy to like.
An attractive red with aromas of sliced strawberries and cherries with a hint of herbs, perhaps from the carmenere. Medium-bodied with firm and silky tannins. Hints of minerals and crushed stones and a crisp finish. Nice bitter lemon undertone in the finish.
The 2025 De Fonbel is deep, fleshy and super expressive. The Cabernets play an important role in this year's blend. That comes through in the wine's aromatic profile and structural feel. There's a lot to like. 2030 - 2040
