The 2025 Mâcon-Bussières Vieilles Vignes de Montbrison unfurls from the glass with aromas evocative of pear, citrus oil and freshly baked bread, followed by a medium- to full-bodied palate that is satiny and vibrant with a chalky grip. This has turned out nicely.
This popular cuvée comes from a clay and limestone soil close to the village of Vergisson. In 2025 only the fruit from the old vines (on average 80 years old) was selected for this cuvée. It was produced from extremely low yields this year and matured in barrel with 25% new oak. Only 200 cases will be made in 2025
