The latest version of our in-house Pauillac is just starting to shine, reflecting another terrific vintage with classic Médocain character. Deep ruby-purple in the glass, the nose is graphite-led with notes of pepper, cool blackcurrant and dried herbs. The palate is chalky and true to its appellation, lightly savoury and structured with pure, dark fruit at the core. Light flecks of spice mingle with more notes of pepper and pencil shavings. Long, fine and deep, this still benefits from a decant, but is drinking now particularly with food. It will continue to soften and evolve over the coming 5-8 years and will likely drink well for over a decade.
