The 2025 Soldaat comes from Grenache vines at 700 metres that enjoy cooler daytime temperatures and therefore lower sugar levels (13.6% here). It has a striking bouquet with cranberry and red cherry, just a touch of reduction (the first time since 2015, according to Sadie). The palate is medium-bodied with a crunchy texture, again showing cranberry and wild strawberry with superb delineation towards the finish. Great length. This is a wonderful Soldaat that will age over many years.
