Tasting Notes

The 2024 Columella comes from a cooler season. So, as you would expect, it is fashioned in a more classical style, one that Sadie compared to his 2012. It has an open, much more transparent bouquet than usual, with wild strawberry, cranberry and wilted rose petals. The palate is medium-bodied with fine-boned tannins, sour cherry mixed with cranberry and strawberry, leading to a slate-tinged, quite Cornas-like finish. Exquisite. (Drink between 2028-2050)
