A markedly earthier nose somewhat grudgingly offers up its aromas of spiced plum, red currant and a whiff of humus. I very much like the mouthfeel of the punchy medium weight flavors primarily because of the fine-grained tannins shaping the balanced and impressively long finale. Once again, this could use better depth but a few years of keeping should prove to be beneficial. Recommended. (Drink starting 2029)
