Celebrated all-Sangiovese wine made from a selection of grapes from the estate’s sunniest and windiest vineyards, especially those on well-drained soils on galestro and limestone. Fermented in conical French oak casks and aged for 18 months in French oak barriques, tonneaux and big casks with a further year’s bottle age.
Relatively lissom. Very much a Tuscan Sangiovese that, on past performance, one assumes will age gracefully but is already a fine, if relatively lightweight, drink. Drink 2026-2040.
