This 4.65 hectare Pomerol property has been owned by the Moueix family since 1953 when it was purchased with Trotanoy. It is very well situated close to the famous Pomerol plateau near Le Gay and Gazin. It gained a part of the Providence vineyard when that property was merged with La Fleur Pétrus. It is planted entirely with Merlot vines on gravel above clay. The wines produced here are invariably supple, smooth and creamy "Moueix Pomerol" in style, for relatively early enjoyment. Possibly the best value wine in Pomerol.
The 2025 was picked from the 1st to the 13th of September. 100% Merlot as usual. This will be aged for 16-18 months in oak barrels - 30% new.

Aromas of dark berries, currants, spices and licorice preface the 2025 Lagrange (Pomerol), a medium- to full-bodied, rich and round wine with a charming, nicely balanced profile.
Bright ruby in colour with fresh, floral tones to the nose that have a herbal, peppery edge. The palate is juicy in fruit, again with the crunchy, peppery edge and a little spicy wood. All cherry and red berries, this is full of energy and acidity but doesn't become skinny, it is still a rounded Pomerol. Nicely done.
Focused, dense and creamy, with plenty of energy. Medium-bodied with fine-grained tannins. A vivid, crunchy and precise center palate. Long, lively finish. 100% merlot.
The 2025 Lagrange is a very pretty, open-knit Pomerol that will drink well right out of the gate. Fruity, aromatic and medium in body, the 2025 is already quite accessible. The unfussy style is sure to find many admirers among those looking for an easygoing Pomerol. 2028 - 2037
