Arguably one of the most famous of all the Scottish distilleries, Macallan whiskies (especially older vintages) have become increasingly sought-after. The Speyside-based company creates whiskies based around its 'Six Pillar' philosophy - Spiritual Home; Curiously Small Stills; Finest Cut; Exceptional Oak Casks; Natural Colour and Peerless Spirit. These whiskies are amongst the most desirable in the world today.

Tasting Notes

This special release 'An Estate, a Community and a Distillery’ Macallan Single Malt is in celebration of the long standing relationship between Macallan and Sir Peter Blake. The label has been digitally designed by the world renowned British pop artist himself - taking inspiration from his visit to the Speyside distillery and paying tribute to the people who have helped shape Macallan, both past and present.

Sir Peter Blake and Macallan have had a special partnership since 1986 - beginning with his work designing a label for a set of twelve 1926 60 year old single malts.

This decadent and unique single malt has been created by lead whisky maker Sarah Burgess, offering aromas of rich, dried fruit and spices with hints of orange and clove. Dried fruits continue on the palate with the addition of cracked black pepper, treacle and accents of vanilla and orange oil. The finish is long with rich oak, cinnamon and cacao flavours.

This whisky comes in a handsome, signature presentation box containing: The Macallan Sir Peter Blake 70cl bottle, a scroll with Sir Peter Blake’s printed artwork and a certificate of authenticity.
