Dark gold in colour, this whisky has hints of honey and vanilla, complemented by red fruit (in particular raspberries) and citrus aromas. The palate has a peppery character, with lemon, lime and grapefruit flavours and oodles of complexity. Don't be scared off by the 63.7% alcohol - this is a smooth, very well balanced whisky that can be enjoyed on its own or with a drop of water. The complex layers of fruit and spice continue in the form of a very long and smooth finish, punctuated by hints of milk chocolate.
