After no production in 2022 on account of extreme heat, we now have the release of 2023 Dominus, Christian Moueix’s Californian icon from the historic Yountville vineyard of Napanook.

The 2023 growing season unfolded at a moderate pace, shaped by generous rainfall, mild spring temperatures, and a later-than-usual harvest that rewarded patience. The grapes were picked between October 7th and 18th under favourable conditions and the crop was a good one.

Jeb Dunnuck scores the wine 97 points “the 2023 Dominus is absolutely gorgeous, with an incredible level of purity and refinement”.  Antonio Galloni is at 96: “Soft contours wrap around a core of pliant red/purplish fruit. Lavender, rose petal and gently spiced overtones caress the mid-palate and finish”.

Pricing is down from the 2021 release, and we can offer the wine at £990 per six bottles in bond (against £1,375 for the 2021).  We will be shipping the wine in May/June.
