Guigal’s “La Las” – La Turque, La Mouline and La Landonne have been northern Rhône icons for decades.  La Mouline made its debut in 1966, La Landonne in 1978 and La Turque in 1985.  As of the 2022 vintage, there is a fourth La La: La Reynarde.  Named after the stream that runs between the Côte Blonde and the Côte Brune, the vineyard was planted in stages in the Côte Brune.

The wine is 100% Syrah, and sees a similar vinification to La Turque (not destemmed, and vinified with punch-downs only) and the same élevage as all three of its siblings: 40 months plus in new barrels. The nature of the oak has changed on all four wines though, with tighter-grained Chassin wood being used since 2020; the aim being to reduce the oak impact on the wines in what are increasingly warmer vintages.

We can offer all four wines today at £750 per three bottles in bond (these are tied 1;1;1;1), or in a four bottle mixed case, “Guigal Quartet”, at £1,000 per four bottles in bond.  The wines will be shipping to the UK in March.

Please note that purchases of the 3x75cl cases are tied and each wine must be purchased in equal volume.
