Domaine Joseph Roty

We are very pleased to have the opportunity to offer a significant parcel from one of the Côte de Nuits most followed producers: Domaine Joseph Roty, a producer whose combination of exquisite wines and discreet approach has led to what can only be described as a cult following.

The wines are only released once bottled, and the selection includes the domaine’s 2021s, which William Kelley of the Wine Advocate describes as “wines that have nothing to fear from a comparison with other sunnier, drier recent years, exuding charm and perfume that will delight Burgundy purists”

The domaine is best-known for what Jasper Morris MW describes as “virtually near perfect Mazis-Chambertin and Charmes-Chambertin in the top vintages”, with the fruit for the latter coming from vines that are over 120 years old.

The domaine is currently run by Pierre-Jean Roty, Joseph’s younger son, who continues with a traditional, no-nonsense approach in both the vineyards and the winery. This, combined with the age of the vines, make for exceptional wines of extraordinary character and depth.
