Château Batailley is a 5th growth property in Pauillac situated just 1,500 metres west of the great Château Latour and next to the vineyards of Lynch Bages, Pichon Lalande and Grand Puy Lacoste.  Batailley has always been a source of classically-styled and consistently excellent claret and the wines have always had a firm following, particularly in the UK.

The past two decades have seen a distinct improvement in the quality here – this is largely down to increased attention to detail in both vineyard and winery – and in 2014 a second wine “Lions de Batailley” was introduced to further ameliorate the quality of the grand vin.

Whilst the wines now have much more finesse than in previous years, the style remains distinctly “Pauillac” and this is one of the best value classed growths in all Bordeaux.
