Tasting Notes

A blend of 50% Chardonnay, 40% Meunier and 10% Pinot Noir, the latest release is based on the 2021 vintage with 50% reserve wine. Vinified in 60% tank and 40% oak barrels. 2g/l dosage. A very fine example of steely, focused Champagne, this flagship wine from the estate has electric acidity and cool, vibrant fruit. Pale straw in the glass, the nose is led by fine lemon peel and mandarin oil, together with subtle notes of fresh bread and toasted cereals. The palate has a creamy mousse, pierced by intense and fine citrus at the core. Lightly toasted bready tones add weight, but the purity and vibrancy of fruit leads for now. Lipsmacking and dry, this is a moreish, fine-boned example and another resounding success chez Seleque. Great value for money, to drink now or over the coming decade.
