The 2020 Paveil de Luze is a strong effort from this estate, routinely one of the classiest non-classified growths of the Médoc. Wafting from the glass with aromas of cherries, blackberries, licorice, rose petals and pencil shavings, it's medium to full-bodied, fleshy and vibrant, framed by powdery tannins that assert themselves with a touch of youthful grip on the finish. This will require a bit more patience than the 2019, but it's just as good. Drink 2025-2050.
This has an excellent black fruit character, plump with fresh acidities and good concentration. Satin texture, bilberry, touch of slate and pencil lead. Confident Margaux estate located in Soussans that has settled in well over ageing. Drink 2026-2040.
