Chapelle Chambertin, Domaine Claude Dugat 2021

Tasting Notes

Moderate reduction. The ultra-sleek, refined and even punchier medium weight plus flavors exude evident minerality on the moderately austere, more complex and beautifully long finale. This chiseled effort possesses impeccable balance and should age effortlessly over the next decade plus.

The 2021 Chapelle-Chambertin Grand Cru has turned out especially well. Offering up aromas of sweet cherries, red berries, peonies, orange rind, smoked tea and spices, it's medium to full-bodied, satiny and sensual—for a cuvée that's often the most muscular wine in the range—with melting tannins and a bright, mineral profile.
