Clear pale lemon colour. Just three barrels, none new, though the wood does still show on the nose. Fruit floods the palate, ripe but staying in white pears, the barest hint of muscat as well, long and charming. Very attractive, if not quite the tension of some vintages.
Cool, pure and very pretty aromas of roasted nut, petrol and a blend of white orchard fruit scents. There is both fine richness and volume to the solidly concentrated and intensely mineral-driven middle weight flavors that conclude in a youthfully austere, balanced and sleek finale. This is an excellent Meursault villages though note that it's one that is going to need at least a few years of keeping as it's pretty tightly wound at present.
