Tasting Notes

Rodez's 2004 Brut Chardonnay Empreinte de Terroir unfurls in the glass with a bright, elegantly oxidative bouquet of walnuts, fino sherry, white peach, mocha and crisp orchard fruit. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, broad and vinous, with a textural but precise profile, displaying fine depth at the core, ripe acids and a complex, nutty finish. Given its comparatively evolved style, I would earmark this for nearer-term consumption. 2018 - 2023
