The wood treatment is much, much more subtle and easily allows the reserved array of red berries, various floral and earth scents to shine. The round, supple and delicious medium-bodied flavors display controlled power and focus that continues onto the tautly muscular finish where a touch of warmth appears. This is pretty and a wine of quality but it doesn't have the depth of material of the best here.
